ANZCIP Development Roadmap
From Automated Manufacturing to Integrated, Low-Cost Industry, ANZCIP delivers a 55% cost reduction - cost/motor down from $454 to $206.
ANZCIP is designed to progressively reduce the cost of manufacturing by combining automation, renewable energy, energy-market optimisation and upstream supply-chain integration. Each phase builds on the capabilities established in the preceding phase, creating a pathway towards competitive, vertically integrated industrial production.
Phase 1 — Automated Motor Manufacturing | Reduce Labour Costs
Establish a highly automated electric motor manufacturing facility using a “Make, Not Buy” strategy. Manufacture selected components in-house from raw materials, using robotics, CNC machining and automated production systems to reduce dependence on external component suppliers, improve process control and lower conversion costs.
Phase 2 — Renewable Energy & Battery Storage | Optimise Energy Costs
Develop a solar farm and industrial battery energy storage system to supply and optimise electricity for manufacturing operations. Use intelligent energy management to improve renewable energy utilisation, manage exposure to electricity price volatility and pursue eligible revenue opportunities through energy arbitrage and Frequency Control Ancillary Services (FCAS).
Phases 3–5 — Upstream Supply Chain Integration | Reduce Material Costs
Extend the automation and energy-optimisation model upstream into the supply chain, progressively integrating the production of key industrial raw materials.
Copper complex: Develop an integrated, automated copper production chain encompassing mining, copper cathode production and copper wire manufacturing, subject to technical and commercial feasibility.
Iron and steel complex: Develop an integrated iron and steel production chain, combining appropriate iron ore sourcing, ironmaking, steelmaking and supporting renewable energy and battery infrastructure.
Applying automation, energy optimisation and vertical integration across these operations aims to reduce labour, energy, processing and supply-chain costs while improving control over critical material inputs.
Phase 6 — Automated Recycling & Material Recovery | Reduce Raw Material Costs Further
Establish an integrated recycling complex to recover and reuse copper, steel, aluminium and other suitable materials from manufacturing scrap and external sources. Prioritise recovered materials for internal production where technically and economically viable, reducing reliance on virgin raw materials, minimising waste and improving resource efficiency.
